The lovely ladies from Shadforth WI have visited school today to let us know that they are working together during February on climate change. They have made green hearts for Valentine’s Day to symbolise this and placed them on the school railings – please help yourself to one.
The Christmas Performances this year were a great success and enjoyed by everyone who attended – check out our gallery to see the children performing on the day!
Thanks to everyone who came along to support our Christmas Fayre – it was a great success! Please check your tickets to see if you have won a prize in our Christmas Raffle!
School closes for the Christmas holidays on Friday 20th December and children return on Tuesday 7th January. On behalf of the children, staff and the Governing Body we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Have a safe and peaceful holiday time and we look forward to working with you all once again in 2020.
Reception, Years 1 & 2 will have their party on the afternoon of Wednesday 18th December and Years 3-6 will be on the afternoon of Thursday 19th December. We would be grateful for donations of food, both sweet and savoury, which should be sent in the morning of the party. Children should come to school in their uniforms and bring their party clothes in a bag, clearly marked with their name. They will be given time to change before the parties.
Our Christmas Performances this year are on Tuesday 17th December at 10am and 1:30pm. Tickets are £1 each and are available from the School Office. Reception and Key Stage 1 pupils (Years 1 and 2) will be singing a medley of songs and Key Stage 2 pupils (Years 3-6) will perform ‘Stable Manners.’ All money raised from ticket sales will go into our school fund which is used to buy resources for the children that we wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford.
Our Christmas Fayre is on Friday 13th December at 2pm. Please come along to support us and join in the festivities! Your child may be collected from their classroom – please make sure you sign them out before taking them along to the Fayre.
